Announcing: The Winners of the Shield Early Supporters Program

Hello Shielder! Just about a week ago, we at Shield announced the launch of the Shield testnet on Ethereum Kovan. Designed to be a preview of our one-of-a-kind decentralized risk-free perpetual product, this marked the beginning of the Shield Early Supporters program. It was an opportunity to test our risk-free perpetual for yourself, and we are absolutely thrilled to see the response we’ve received — with over 5000 participants across 13 countries (Hong Kong, Thailand, US, Japan, China, India Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea, Russian Federation, Netherlands, and Turkey).

The Shield Early Supporter Program Participants were eligible to win rewards up to $SLD 100,000 (Shield native tokens). These rewards were to be randomly distributed to participants who completed the Gleam task and interacted with the Shield testnet.

Now, a week later, it gives us immense pleasure to announce we’ve successfully selected 200 lucky winners for this program. These winners will be receiving 5,000 DAI each for the Shield testnet, to test the network’s aspects and overall platform experience.

As you read this, emails to winners have already been dispatched, and reward transfers complete. Winners can now test the network out for themselves and help bring the world’s first risk-free perpetual on Ethereum layer one to reality.

We couldn’t be more excited! After all, while we’ve explained the risk-free perpetual concept in a dedicated blog earlier, our winners understand that there’s no substitute for a real-world experience.
